HAWAII: IRONMAN FOR KALIBUR AND KT05
KONA - HAWAII: Next weekend the triathlon world will focus their attention on Hawaii, where the best Ironman athletes will face each other in the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS. Kuotacycle is participating in the event with different athletes from Europe and Asia running on Kalibur and KT05 models.
This platoon is ideally led by the German Andy Boecherer who is aiming at a position among the top 10. On his KT05, the athlete has already won two 70.3 races in France and Mexico.
In order to get used to the climatic conditions, Boecherer has already spent a fortnight in Hawaii. “I am looking forward to run again after having skipped the most important event for a triathlon athlete for two years. The first year I managed to qualify but had to renounce due to an accident. The following year I was run over by a car.”
In 2015, he is eventually back as a protagonist: “It has been one of my dreams to qualify for the championships again and now I am here to enjoy the race and to make good use of this opportunity. I really hope to obtain a good result. In 2011, I finished the race among the top 10, to be precise in position 8.”
His ambitions: “I have prepared myself thoroughly and I do not even fear the heat. After my victory in the 70.3 in Cozumel, I had the confirmation that my physical conditions are very good. I have been training the last 3 weeks here in Hawaii and I am confident to make a good race.”
There will also be the French team Rougeot Beaune Triathlon and the Taiwanese team Hsiu Shen Kuo at the World Championships.
