KALIBUR. A BIKE INTO THE FUTURE
KUOTA 2015: After a long development and test period by the cyclists of the professional team Androni, the new Kalibur has been launched. A lot of keen bikers already had the possibility to make a test ride on the national race course of Monza on 27 AND 28 June. The Kalibur project provides important innovations, some of which can be seen at first sight, others require some background information.
The most evident modifications were carried out in the brake housing and the steering box series. Actually the front and rear brakes have been installed so as to offer excellent aerodynamic results. The front brake Is on the back of the fork whereas the rear one is now under the central movement box. This new position had no negative impact on braking.
The steering series has been completely integrated in order to grant perfect aerodynamic characteristics and clean, smooth lines. A precious innovation is the hidden locking system on which the aero two way seatpost is anchored and which allows an inclination of 74-80°.
Other important but less visible technical details regard the central movement box, which has been newly designed in order to host the central movement BB 386 which is characteristic for the Kuotacycle range.
Kalibur is Di2 Ready, too.
