MATTEO FONTANA TESTIMONIAL XMETRICS
Matteo Fontana, half Ironman world champion (cat 18-24), is the new face of XMetrics, the highly innovative activity tracker designed for swimmers. The triathlete from Brianza (Italy) will thus join Massimiliano Rosolino, swimmer with 60 international medals and first ambassador of the team XMetrics.
The agreement between Fontana and Xmetrics was made official today at the headquarters of Kuota, main sponsor of the athlete. This shows the common aim of the two companies to optimise training for two triathlon disciplines with their highly innovative products.
In the presence of Maurizio Canzi, CEO of Kuota, and Andrea Rinaldo, CEO of Xmetrics, the 2014 world champion signed an important agreement that will see him tied with the dynamic start-up and its hi-tech tracker for swimmers.
"This is not a simple sponsorship - explains Rinaldo - but a very ambitious development program that we will soon present in detail. We believe that with our device an athlete at Matteo Fontana’s level can significantly improve his swimming performances, discipline in which at the moment is a bit less competitive."
Maximum satisfaction of the athlete. "I am honored to have been selected for this project. I followed immediately with great interest all developments of the XMetrics activity tracker and I think for me, this agreement represents a great opportunity that I will benefit from. "
Fontana, after a slow beginning of the season due to a foot injury, has now returned to train regularly and is fully focused on his competitive commitments, starting from Rapperswil where an Ironman 70.3 is scheduled for June 7.
