TRIATHLON: MATTEO FONTANA AMONG PRO TRIATHLETES
KUOTA 2015: The season debut of Matteo Fontana, triathlete born in 1992 and member of DDS of Settimo Milanese is just around the corner. Last year the young athlete from the Brianza region won the world “half Ironman” championship in the category 18-24 years, and next week he is participating at the 70.3 of Cannes in France. Not only the category has changed, however, there are a lot of news due to the athlete’s decision to become a professional. Furthermore, he will run on the new Bike KT05 provided by Kuotacycle, who have been supporting the Italian talent lately called up to the National team. “I have trained trained – says Fontana – in the swimming pool in Settimo and in open water, where I have carried out my first training today. I am in a very good physical form and I hope to show my improvement and my personal growth in the coming season. “
At the moment the only incognito is the running component. “I have not run for 40 days owing to a metatarsus microfracture of my left foot. I will test my condition in the race as I preferred not to strain my foot as a precaution. I am confident to leap forward consistently as a professional and I will give my best without losing my humility.”
The first important test of a challenging and tough season. “There are already a number of events on my schedule. After Cannes I am going to Barcelona (70.3) on 17 May, to Pescara (70.3) on 24 June, Nizza (70.2) on 28 June, the Italian Championships in August (23 in Lovere) and others which will be communicated further on.”
On the occasion of the race in France, the new body by DaMa and their 2015 partners will be presented. Matteo Fontana will use the new customized Kt05 model, which will be available for Kuotcacyle customers in 2016.
