Matteo Fontana man of the year, becomes professional athlete

KUOTA 2015/MILANO: Sunday night at the Manzoni theater, Matteo Fontana received the award of athlete of the year in the age-group category on the occasion of the third Triathlon Galà in Milan. This was an important prize for the young Italian athlete from Carate Brianza born in 1992, which arrived after his election as one of the five finalists chosen by the public and the jury of technicians chaired by Fabio Vedana. The appointment had been organised by fcz.it, the main website of the sector directed by Dario Daddo Nardone. “I hope this recognition will be the starting point in a discipline which I discovered only two years ago and which has given me unexpected results” – were the first words by Fontana. “In this period I have improved a lot thanks to the technicians of the DDS team, with whom I train almost every morning. .They have focused on improving my swimming techniques, which has always been my weak point. I also wish to express my thanks to my sponsors, in particular Kuotacycle, with whom I won the Half Ironman World Championship in the category 18 to 24 years last September, as well as Science of Cycling”. Eventually, he made an important declaration. “This year I have decided to become a professional athlete. I have been considering all aspects before deciding. I know it will be a very challenging 2015 which will require hard work in order to face competitors of the maximum level but I am ready to accept the challenge”. Of course, Matteo Fontana can count on the assistance of Kuotacycle even in 2015.
CEO Maurizio Canzi of the company with head office in Villasanta di Monza underlined “We have always supported Matteo “ – “following his professional growth, first as a cyclist and then in his new experience as a triathlon athlete. We are pleased to see that an expert champion like Daniel Fontana is following his preparation. That is why we really hope that we will have great satisfaction both from the technical point of view as well as from the athletic one, both in the Ironman category with Kt05 and in the irregular draft competitions with the new  aero bike Kougar”.
