TRIATHLON: 2ND PLACE FOR ANJA BERANEK IN BRASIL

PALMAS - BRAZIL: Second position in Brazil for Anja Beranek (00:29:54, 02:16:00, 01:35:35 TOT: 04:25:04), German athlete who has debuted on Kuota KT05 this year and who has participated at the Brazilian Half Ironman. For her an excellent race at Palmas where she also performed her seasonal debut.

Top class rivals and high temperatures were a tough challenge for the German athlete from Nuremberg born on 6 January 1982.

THE RACE: At dawn the race started in the waters of the river Rio delle Toncantin a Pyranjas with a very good swim segment and a delay of about one minute behind the Canadian Megely Tisseyre.

The second segment, the bike race started on the KT05 with strong wind for the whole distance of 90 km and high temperatures at just 8 o’clock in the morning. At the end of this segment Anja Beranek was still in the second position, two minutes behind the leading Tisseyre.

After the Half Marathon, the difficulties caused by the climatic conditions continued and the German athlete understood that her bodily strength would not allow her to conquer the leadership. Beranek tried to catch up with Tisseyre but then had to give in and lost out on her.

She was, however, happy about her 2nd position: “ I tried to win and was getting close to Megely Teysseryre but then I gave in and defended my second position. I am very satisfied that my season has started so positively. In Brazil I won a Samaba Triathlon”.

Anja Beranek is the female testimonial of Kuotacycle together with the second German Andi Boekerer, the Italians Daniel Fontana and Matteo Fontana, the British Tom Bishop, the Slovakian Matus Verbovsky and Gregory Barnaby’s team 707, the French team francese  Rougeot Beaune Triathlon and the Taiwanese Hsiu Sen Kuo.

The triathletes sponsored by Kuotacycle use KT05 and Kalibur bikes for long distances. For more information, watch the video on: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sa2ygjfIoR0
